Canada International Trade Department Minister David Emerson led a comprehensive delegation to Beijing to sell its portal BC province.

Vancouver, entitled as the third biggest city of Canada and portal of Pacific ocean , will hold the winter Olympic in 2010. The BC province in which Vancouver locates is willing to show its features to the world and earn much more business chances by right of Beijing Olympic.

Minister David Emerson expressed they would like to open its portal to the whole world via the BC province –Canada exhibition hall established in Beijing. As meanwhile, he mentioned BC province –Canada exhibition hall offered the a good chance to establish the close and long-term business culture relationship with China. The hall would display the innovative achievement and prominent accomplishment, projecting its ability to be a best investment site and the advantages of being a science and technology strategy  cooperation partner.

In fact, the mission of this visit is about not only Olympic but also the cooperation prospect between China and Canada in economy, science and technology, and environment protection. 

Recent years, Sino-Canadian relationship develops gradually and Chinese market does provide the numerous business chances for Canada, especially in the fields of agriculture, food, and transportation. In 2007, china has become the third export market exceeding Japan.
